The battle of Stalingrad was, and forever will be remembered as one of the biggest turning points in WW2. Mamayev Kurgan is a mass grave of Soviet Soldiers that is in Stalingrad today. Everyday, Russians pay tribute to this sight. Another impact of the battle is communism. It took the place of religion for the Russians, and kept their spirits high. Finally, after Stalingrad, the Soviets felt superior to the other allies because they were the first to defeat the Germans. The Soviets felt that he Allies weren’t doing enough, and soon tensions became high. This is what started the Cold War.
